We bought the second option, the main difference between the packages was the duration, and ours had the option of water. we went to the Merapi museum, to a bunker with a lava block, they took us to put our hands in rock holes which were very warm, saw the trench thing which the lava had ran down in 2010 which was colossal and we were able to see the peak of merapi from the point we were taken to.
The water bit they took us to a natural river and just drove crazy and my whole family loved it and screamed as it went crazy and we got splashed. We were very ashy from the drive and dipped our feet in the water and it was lovely.
The jeep drives themselves were very rocky and you were recommended to buy a mask to protect you from the ash, but it went through gorgeous villages and was all in all so much fun and one of the best days of my holiday.
Jeep Lava Tour Merapi Challanging Experience
One more beauty of nature in Indonesia, namely Mount Merapi. When we visit it will be presented a lot of moments. Especially when we enjoyed by Jeep tour Merapi Lava. Our adrenaline seemed to increase in line with the roar of a jeep which climbed Mount Merapi. We also feel the sensation of wind breezy. It is advisable to use a thick jacket, for visitors who are less fit.
During the trip, we visited the villages that have been destroyed because of a burst of lava. Not only that, we also stop to see Mount Merapi vomit material that resembles a large stone similar the Head of Alien, named batu Alien.
After continuing the trip, we popped into the bunker used to save themselves from the eruption of Merapi. Around the bunker area, many local residents who sell snacks, Pisang Rebus, Jahe Merapi etc. Very Memorable and challanging tour.
